Omega Doom

Four hundred years after a devastating war which virtually eliminated the human race, rusted robots and
human skeletons litter the landscape of the ravaged planet. Little organic material endures, only cyborgs.
Alongside an old California freeway appears a black-clad warrior. Created by humans to do their fighting
for them, he's a super-intelligent humanoid known as OMEGA DOOM. A once-proud android killer, he
now wanders aimlessly across a land where conventional weaponry was melted during the war and
ammunition for the few remaining guns is highly prized. Armed with only deadly silicon shanks, which he
flings at his victims with laser-like precision, Doom is like the quick draw killers of his Old West human
ancestors.
In a ruined corner of the city stand the remains of a faded amusement park, Old World Europeland. It's
there that the survivors of two rival cyborg factions -- the Roms and the Droids -- maintain an uneasy
truce that's presided over by the Bartender, a worker Drone whose saloon dispenses precious water to
the combatants. Lying disconsolately amidst the debris is the Head, a former teacher Drone. In his
dismembered state, the Head has been used as a football by a volatile Droid known as Marko. But Doom
helps this talkative new friend to find a working body in exchange for the lowdown on the local feud.
On one side, the Droids are led by Zik, with her cohorts Marko, Zik Too and Titus. Standing against them
are the murderous Blackheart and fellow Roms, Zinc and Ironface. The android gangs see the new
stranger in their midst as a threat to be easily snuffed out -- a miscalculation that proves to be fatal. But
as Doom responds ruthlessly to their homicidal challenges, in the process, he brings a hint of long-lost
humanity to his deadly purpose.
