A shy, warm-hearted loner who keeps the outside world at arm's length, mostly because of his astonishing secret -- his touch can bring the dead back to life. Ned owns and operates the Pie Hole, with the help of waitress Olive Snook. Ned's best friend since childhood is his loyal dog, Digby, whom he can never touch.

Lee Pace
Following his breakthrough performance in Soldier's Girl and several acclaimed turns on the stages of New York, Lee Pace stars in the highly anticipated new series, Pushing Daisies.

Written expressly for Pace by executive producer Bryan Fuller (Heroes), Pushing Daisies' protagonist Ned is a man who brings people back from the dead -- with a single touch. Pace previously co-starred as Aaron Tyler, the older brother of a young woman who takes advice from inanimate objects in Fox's cult series Wonderfalls, created by Fuller and Todd Holland.

Sunny, and with moxie to spare, Chuck's motto might as well be "never say die." Because she didn't. Well, she did, but thanks to a 'touching' reunion with childhood sweetheart Ned, Chuck got a second chance at life. After spending her youth caring for shut-in aunts Lily and Vivian, Chuck is determined to live her second life to the fullest.

Anna Friel
Stage, screen and theatre actress Anna Friel has garnered awards and critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. She had a busy 2004 in North America -- she starred opposite Rob Lowe in the romantic comedy film, Perfect Strangers, won over audiences as defense attorney Megan Delaney in Barry Levinson's gritty courtroom drama, The Jury, played a heroin addict in Gary Yates' film Niagara Motel, and appeared as Eddie Griffin's melodic Irish sweetheart in the feature Irish Jam.

Friel made her first foray into the world of feature film in 1995 with Stephen Poliakoff's movie The Tribe, opposite Joely Richardson and Jeremy Northam. Other films followed, including Rogue Trader, starring alongside Ewan McGregor, and A Midsummer Night's Dream, with Kevin Kline and Michelle Pfeiffer

A waitress at the Pie Hole, as well as Ned's neighbor, Olive is a tenacious sprite. Her can-do attitude can do anything, except win the heart of the Pie-Maker. She must settle for the company and affection of Digby, who relishes her caring touch.
